What to Expect in a Baby and Me Yoga Class

Becoming a new parent is an incredible journey, but it can also feel overwhelming. I created our Uxbridge small town Baby and Me Yoga to be a gentle, welcoming space where you can reconnect with your body, bond with your baby, and meet other parents navigating similar experiences. Whether you’re new to yoga or looking for Postnatal Yoga Classes to support your recovery, I tailor this special practice to offer more than just movement. Here’s what you can look forward to in a class.

A Nurturing, Baby-Friendly Atmosphere

These classes are designed with both you and your baby in mind. We open every class with a reflection question, with a firm "no advice" rule. This creates a judgment-free environment where shared interests are uncovered and conversations are started. Parents spend the class between movement and pauses for feeding, soothing, or diaper changes. Whether it’s your first yoga class or you're seasoned in your practice, you’ll find yourself surrounded a compassionate instructor and fellow parents.

Here in Uxbridge, Ontario, I offer 2 times for Postpartum Yoga Classes with a mix of warmth, flexibility, and community to help you feel comfortable.

We Begin Each Series with Gentle Yoga for Postpartum Healing

Postpartum recovery takes time, and Baby and Me Yoga is carefully crafted to support this process. With a focus on gentle yoga for postpartum recovery, the first of our 6 class series include pelvic floor education, awareness and breath-work (pranayama) to empower your recovery. We target tensions in your neck, shoulders, and back—areas often strained from holding and feeding your baby.

You’ll also engage in Postpartum Yoga for Core Strength, with exercises designed to gently rebuild stability in your core and pelvic floor, helping you regain confidence in your body’s strength and resilience.

Creating Moments of Connection

One of the most rewarding parts of Baby and Me Yoga is the opportunity to bond with your little one. These classes integrate your baby into the practice, whether through playful poses, eye contact and soothing co-regulation strategies. My background in child development brings a holistic approach to my class instruction, fostering concrete ways to share moments of joy and connection, nurturing both your relationship and your own well-being.

If you’re looking for yoga for bonding with your baby, these classes are here for you.

Thoughtful Postures for New Moms

Every pose in a Baby and Me Yoga class is thoughtfully chosen to meet the unique needs of new moms. You’ll explore movements that:

  • Focus on alignment while holding and feeding your baby.
  • Have you standing and sitting taller, relieving tension in your back and shoulders.
  • Gently strengthen your core and pelvic floor.
  • Support better posture and balance.

At Well Yoga, we're big believers in props to enhance and individualize our practice. We use bolsters, blocks and straps regularly, with cues to notice increased range of motion and how to explore props in your own everyday home experience. With plenty of modifications available, the practice is welcoming for all skill levels, making it an accessible and uplifting experience for everyone.

A Safe Space for Healing

Safety is at the heart of Postnatal Yoga Classes. Your instructor is trained and experienced in safe exercises for postpartum recovery. I will guide you through movements that respect your healing process. Whether you’re weeks or months postpartum, you can rest assured that the exercises are designed to support, not strain, your body.

For those in Uxbridge, Ontario, Baby and Me Yoga (Uxbridge, Ontario) offers a trusted space for moms to heal and grow.

Building a Community of Support

Beyond the yoga practice itself, these classes offer an incredible opportunity to connect with other parents. Sharing stories, challenges, and milestones creates a sense of community that can be a true lifeline during this transformative time. You’ll leave each class not only feeling refreshed but also more connected to a group that truly understands.

A Heartfelt Invitation

Baby and Me Yoga is about so much more than just physical recovery.
